Police seize cannabis worth £200,000 from Rutherglen property

Cannabis worth around £200,000 has been seized by police in Rutherglen.

Police attended the property on Carrick Road on Wednesday, March 10, after receiving a call from the energy network.

The plants were discovered during a search of the property around 6.50pm, and enquiries to trace those responsible are ongoing.

Sergeant John Watson from Lanarkshire Police Division said: “We will continue to work to disrupt the illegal and harmful supply of drugs in our communities.

“We ask anyone with any concerns about drug misuse or wider criminality in your area, to contact us on 101 or report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
