BREAKING: Police launch investigation after "seriously injured" man found on road

A man has been found seriously injured in an area of land close to Stanrigg Memorial Park in Airdrie.

Police were called to the scene at around 8.40am this morning, following reports of the injured man being discovered on Meikle Drumgray Road.

Emergency services attended and the man has been taken to Monklands Hospital for treatments of injuries.

A spokesman for Police Scotland told Lanarkshire Live: "Enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident."
