BREAKING: Police launch 'extensive' search for missing man in East Kilbride

Police have issued an urgent appeal to help trace a missing Lanarkshire man.

Concerns are mounting for 55-year-old Duncan Christie who was last seen in the Hairmyres area of East Kilbride at around 11.55am today.

Duncan, from Larkhall, is described as 6ft 2in tall, with brown greying short hair.

When last seen, he was wearing dark trousers, a blue t-shirt and blue trainers.

Inspector Karen McColl, of East Kilbride Police Station, said: "We are concerned for the safety of Duncan and are urging anyone who may have seen him, or know where he is, to contact the police.

"Local officers are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace Duncan.

"I would ask that anyone who believes they may have seen Duncan, or has any other information, contact officers on 101, quoting incident number 1404 of Monday, 30 May, 2022."
