BREAKING: Police confirm body found in Firth of Forth is missing Stirling student

The body of a missing Stirling University student has been found in the Firth of Forth.

Police launched an appeal for information earlier this week to try and find Libyan student Rodhwan Ali Al Montsir, who was last seen in the city's Bridgehaugh Road on July 29.

But a spokesperson has now confirmed to the Observer that the 41-year-old body has been found near the village of Culross in the Firth of Forth.

The Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police Scotland can now confirm that the body of the man found in the Firth of Forth on 5 August, 2020, has been identified as that of 41-year-old Rodwhan Ali Al Montsir from Stirling.

"The death is being treated us unexplained pending a port mortem examination and the Procurator Fiscal has been informed."
