Dumbarton’s squad has continued to take shape, with PJ Crossan becoming the 10th player to commit his future to the club.
The tricky forward joined the Sons last July following his release from Celtic, having previously spent time on-loan at Alloa Athletic and Stranraer - where he scored the winner in Stevie Aitken’s final game in charge.
At home either out wide or as a striker, Crossan enjoyed the most prolific season of his career at the Rock - scoring six times and registering three assists.

He joins captain Stuart Carswell and striker Robert Jones in inking new deals with the club this week.
Skipper Carswell, who has made 123 appearances for the club, took his Sons career into a fifth season yesterday, and gaffer Jim Duffy was delighted to keep the in-demand midfielder.
He said: “Stuart is a big player for us and was one we were keen to retain as soon as last season came to an end.

“I had no hesitation in making him team captain at the start of last season and that has added another dimension to his game.
“We’re confident he’ll continue to progress this season and play a true captain’s role in what we hope will be a successful year.”
Towering striker Jones meanwhile scored once in seven appearances after joining the club from Stranraer - with Duffy looking for the 24-year-old to build on some encouraging performances with a second season at the club.

The gaffer added: “The early end to last season meant Robert didn’t get much opportunity to show what he can do in a Dumbarton jersey.
“However, what he did, he did very well, and we saw enough to give him the option to sign with us again.
“We’re pleased he has taken up that option and he has an important role to play in the season ahead.”
