Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola handed WORLDWIDE transfer ban

Super agent Mino Raiola has been slapped with a ban from dealing with transfers anywhere in the world.

Raiola had previously been handed a three-month ban from working within Italy, but the chairman of FIFA's Disciplinary Committee has extended the ban across the globe.

FIFA have now taken on the ban, which will run until August 9.

The decision could have serious implications for the Premier League transfer window, especially for players like Paul Pogba, who has been linked with a move away from Manchester United.

A mega money move to Real Madrid had been touted in recent weeks.

FIFA's statement read: "The Chairman of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee has today decided to extend the sanctions imposed by the Italian Football Association (FIGC) on the intermediaries Carmine and Vincenzo Raiola to have worldwide effect.

"Carmine Raiola is suspended for a period of three months and Vincenzo Raiola for a period of two months.

"The decision of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee was notified today and takes immediate effect.

"For further information concerning the grounds of the sanction please contact FIGC."

Reasons for the ban are unknown, but reports claim that it could be due to Gianluca Scamacca's move from Roma to PSV, which took place in 2015.

Raiola also currently represents Ajax hotshot Matthijs De Ligt, who has been been the centre of a transfer saga where Barcelona looked his most likely destination.

But the decision to rule Raiola out of work could now have serious damage on any potential deal.

Raiola has recently ended his association with United forward Romelu Lukaku, but is still in charge of dealings with goalkeeper Sergio Romero.

Lukaku has been linked with summer switches to Juventus and Inter Milan, and is now represented by Italian agent Federico Pastorello.

Arsenal's Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Marseille's former Manchester City and Liverpool forward Mario Balotelli and LA Galaxy's Zlatan Ibrahimovic are all current clients of Raiola's.

The ban won't prevent Raiola from brokering other transfers, such as Pogba's rumoured move to Real Madrid.

Reasons for Raiola's transfer ban were not revealed by the Italian FA when they announced the decision on Thursday.

Raiola's cousin Vincenzo was also banned for two months.

Their statement read: "The Sports Procurators Commission, any other exception, deduction and defence rejected, condemns Mr Carmine [Mino] Raiola and Mr Vincenzo Raiola, on his own behalf and as legal representatives of the companies they represent to sanction of the suspension from the exercise of the activity of sports attorney to the extent, respectively: with regard to Mr. Carmine Raiola, of 3 months, with regard to Mr. Vincenzo Raiola, of 2 months."
