Breaking: Nottingham Forest confirm loan signing of Fulham winger Anthony Knockaert

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Fulham winger Anthony Knockaert on loan until January.

The 28-year-old will now be reunited with manager Chris Hughton after the pair helped Brighton win promotion to the Premier League in 2016.

Forest had been keen to bring in a winger before today's 5pm transfer deadline and now they have got their man, with an option to buy the player.

Knockaert is in the prime of his career and has extensive experience of success in the Championship, winning promotion with Leicester City and Fulham as well.

He joined Fulham this summer for a reported fee of £10.5m after scoring four goals in 39 appearances during a loan spell from Brighton last season.

However, he is yet to feature in the Premier League this season for Scott Parker's side.

Perhaps the best spell of his career was under Hughton on the south coast. In total, he scored 27 goals in 139 games for the Seagulls.

Forest had also been linked with Harry Wilson but the Liverpool winger looks set to join Cardiff City.

Newcastle's Christian Atsu and West Brom's Kamil Grosiki have also been heavily linked.
