Breaking: Nottingham Forest confirm arrival of Bournemouth star

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of summer target Harry Arter from Bournemouth.

The 30-year-old Republic of Ireland international has joined Sabri Lamouchi's side for an undisclosed fee, putting pen to paper on a three year deal.

Arter moves to The City Ground from fellow Championship side Bournemouth, having been on loan at Fulham last season and helping them to promotion to the Premier League.

Arter was part of the Bournemouth side which rose from League One to the Premier League, featuring on a regular basis in two promotion-winning sides after making his debut in 2010 and going on to rack up over 250 appearances for The Cherries.

The Republic of Ireland international has made close to 100 appearances in the Premier League and now moves to The City Ground.

Arter played a key role as Bournemouth stormed up through the leagues before eventually reaching the Premier League.

Although he has spent the last two seasons out on loan at Cardiff and Fulham respectively, he will always remain a firm favourite among Cherries fans.

Speaking prior to Arter’s loan move to Fulham, where he played under brother-in-law Scott Parker, then Bouremouth boss Eddie Howe outlined the contribution he had made to the Dorest club.

“I don’t think people should ever lose sight of players who give so much to a football club. Harry is certainly in that category for us,” said Howe.
