BREAKING NEWS: Hundreds of homes in Scone lose power due to network fault

Over 1000 people in Scone went without power this afternoon due to a blackout caused by a network fault.

The fault occurred on SSEN's High Voltage Network at 11.48am this morning resulting in the loss of power.

Perth Fire Station to be new COVID-19 testing site

The incident initially affected 1386 SSEN customers, but power was restored to the majority of customers in just a couple of minutes.

However, engineers are currently investigating the fault and are working to restore power to the remaining 427 customers without power.

Power is expected to be back on in all the facilities affected by around 3pm this afternoon.

SSEN spokesperson said: “We would like to apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused by todays power cut and thank them for their patience while our engineers work to restore power as safely and quickly as possible.”
