Breaking News: Adam Scott is hot in this new horror movie trailer

For those fans of Adam Scott, like myself, you love to see him shine. Now, we get to see him tackle horror. The Severance star is a grieving man in the new trailer for Damien McCarthy’s Hokum!

Scott, who fans know from shows like Parks and Recreation and Party Down, has been killing it recently. From his Emmy nominated performance as Mark in the Apple TV+ series Severance to the return of Party Down, he’s everywhere. But more recently he’s been tackling a genre he’s not exactly known for: Horror.

Earlier this year, Scott was featured briefly in Osgood Perkins’ The Monkey for Neon. He played the father of twins Hal and Bill and, ultimately, the one who cursed their family with the monkey that kills people for them. Now, Scott is set to continue his venture in the horror genre with Damien McCarthy’s Hokum.

The 40 second teaser trailer was released and shows snippets of Scott in the dark and frightening figures appearing. The description of the film teases Scott as a writer who is grieving his parents and is taking their ashes to Ireland to spread them.

You can see the teaser trailer here:

Hokum is described as follows: “When reclusive novelist Ohm Bauman (Scott) retreats to a remote Irish inn to scatter his parents’ ashes, the staff’s tales of an ancient witch haunting the honeymoon suite take hold of his mind. Soon, disturbing visions and a shocking disappearance draw him into a nightmarish confrontation with the darkest corners of his past.”

As someone who loves all of Adam Scott’s work, it is so much fun watching him thrive in the horror genre! You have some time before Hokum hits theaters on May 1! So maybe watch him take on the monkey that kills people in the meantime?
