Michelle McManus gives birth to baby boy and confirms beautiful name

Michelle McManus has welcomed her first baby with husband Jeff Nimmo into the world - and shared his name and the first picture.

The Pop Idol star, 39, revealed her little boy is called Harry as she confirmed she gave birth in January.

"Last month we welcomed our beautiful son Harry John Nimmo into the world," she wrote on Instagram.

"Never could I have imagined this feeling of utter joy and overwhelming love for my little boy. My heart is literally bursting with happines.️ We love you so much Harry @jnim86 #babyboy #son #loveofmylife #happiness #love."

in December, telling fans on Instagram: "On the 10th day of Christmas,‬ ‪my true love gave to me ‬Our very own little baby

"‪Baby Nimmo due early 2020."

Their announcement came two years after the happy couple tied the knot in a beautiful wedding ceremony in the Scottish Highlands.

Wearing an empire-line bridal dress that featured full-length billowing sleeves, Michelle beamed in front of her friends and family as she clutched a colourful bouquet of roses.

She wore a floor-length veil in her hair and kept her chestnut locks swept up into a loose chignon.

Her dashing groom was suitably dressed in a green kilt and matching blazer, as he proudly took the arm of his new wife and led her out of the church.

Michelle won ITV contest Pop Idol back in 2003, when she was 23 years old.

The show was hosted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, who looked extremely baby-faced in the throwback clip Michelle shared a couple of years back.

Michelle took the crown on the singing contest as the beat rival Mark Rhodes - of Sam and Mark fame - to glory.

Her victory took Michelle by such surprise that she doubled over in shock and burst into tears.

After winning the show, Michelle released her debut album The Meaning Of Love.

Huge congratulations to Michelle and Jeff!
