Miami shooting: Shots fired 'at NBA YoungBoy' near Trump resort and man killed

The rapper called 'NBA YoungBoy' has reportedly been shot at near a Trump resort in Miami.

One man has died after the shootout and a 19-year-old woman has been taken to hospital.

Two men have been arrested and the scene has been secured by police.

Police said the suspects were armed with an AK-47 and several handguns.

One vehicle was pictured with what appear to be bullet holes.

NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, and his bodyguards are believed to be involved in the ordeal.

He had been due to perform in the city tonight, according heavy.com.  This weekend Miami is hosting Rolling Loud which calls itself the 'largest hip-hop festival in the world''.

7 News Miami, the local network report: "The shooting occurred at the Alamo Rent A Car along Collins Avenue, across from the Trump International Beach Resort, Sunday afternoon."

They add that there was a 'road rage dispute'. Police are said to be searching for a further third suspect.

The Trump Hotel is now on lock-down and guests are currently being told to stay in their rooms until the scene is clear.

Some eyewitnesses say the shooting was an attempted drive-by but several other witnesses are saying this was a road rage incident.

Witnesses report hearing gunshots at the entrance of the hotel and officers returning fire.

NBA YoungBoy's involvement has not been independently confirmed.

Aventura police said in a statement that they were investigating a shooting that may be related to the incident at Trump International Beach Resort.

Aventura police said a driver was shot and described his injuries as not life-threatening. 

"An incident happened in Sunny Isles. We are working with investigators to see if they are related. Neither indicates a hate crime or terrorist event," Aventura police said.

Rapper XXXTentacion was shot dead on June 18 last year in Florida.
