Mauricio Pochettino has been sacked by Tottenham Hotspur.
The Argentinian guided the club to their first ever Champions League final last season, but has overseen a stuttering start to the 2019/20 campaign.
And with Tottenham in 14th position in the Premier League, Pochettino has left the club.
In a statement published on the club's official website Daniel Levy said: "We were extremely reluctant to make this change and it is not a decision the Board has taken lightly, nor in haste.
“Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing.
“It falls to the board to make the difficult decisions - this one made more so given the many memorable moments we have had with Mauricio and his coaching staff - but we do so in the club's best interests."
Jose Mourinho is the favourite to replace Pochettino as manager of Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Chelsea, Inter, Porto and Real Madrid manager has been tipped to step back into the dugout for the first time since leaving Manchester United in 2018.
