Chelsea have appointed Mark Robinson as the new head coach of the development squad, following Andy Myers taking a new role at the club. Robinson takes over from Myers, who, after three years as head coach, moves on to become the loan player technical coach.
Robinson has spent the majority of his coaching career with AFC Wimbledon, covering numerous roles during his time, but will now make a move to Cobham. He guided the Dons' Under-18s to the last-16 of the FA Youth Cup in back-to-back campaigns, where he came up against a young Chelsea team featuring the likes of now first-team stars Mason Mount and Trevoh Chalobah.
Neil Bath, the head of youth development at Chelsea, is delighted with the appointment. He told the club's official website: "We're delighted to welcome Mark to the club.

"He has vast experience across youth development and the senior game, which will enable the Academy to continue to develop players for the professional game. We are confident that Mark will fit into our way of working and that he will add great value to the development of our players, both individually and as a team. We look forward to Mark starting work in pre-season."
The news follows Myers' change of role. He will now work closely with loan players as a technical coach after spending over a decade coaching in the club's youth development programme.
Myers will work closely with the loans department with players and provide consistent match feedback, as per the club's website. It looks like changes across the board at Chelsea now as the club prepares for a new era under Todd Boehly.
