A man in his 40s has been rushed to hospital after a suspected acid attack in London.
The victim was assaulted and sprayed in the face with an unknown substance at around 9.20pm on Sunday in Lewisham High Street - reportedly on a bus.
Photos from the scene show police tape surrounding a route 54 bus near to Lewisham Fire Station.
Police cars can be seen parked in the bus stop ahead of the bus where the incident is reported to have taken place.
One officer can be seen carrying a clear plastic bag containing evidence from the scene, while other officers and a firefighter are also present.
His condition is not thought to be life-threatening, though he has been taken to hospital for treatment.
No arrests have yet been made, police have confirmed.
Lewisham MPS has urged witnesses to call 101 and quote reference 7135/01mar.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.21pm last night (March 1) to reports of an assault in Lewisham High Street.
“We sent an ambulance crew, our hazardous area response team (HART) and an incident response officer to the scene.
“We treated a patient at the scene and took them to hospital.”
