A man has tragically died at a Cambuslang factory.
The 61-year-old is believed to have been involved in an accident at Mitchell Engineering in Westburn Drive yesterday morning.
Emergency services rushed to the scene but the employee sadly could not be saved.
A Police Spokesperson said: “Around 11.15am on Wednesday, October 21, police were called to a business on Westburn Drive, Cambuslang.
“Police and ambulance attended and a 61-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Inquiries into the full circumstances are ongoing and the Health and Safety Executive has been informed.”
The Reformer contacted Mitchell Engineering but the call handler failed to provide comment at this time.
