A man was found dead in Tameside this morning, police have confirmed.
Officers were called to a concern for welfare report on Lance Corporal Andrew Breeze Way in Denton at around 4am. The road runs adjacent to the M67 motorway.
A man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics. Police said there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

The eastbound carriageway of the M67 was closed off following the incident. A bridge which runs over the motorway, was also cordoned off by officers for several hours.
The roads were reopened just before 7.30am. In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "On Thursday 15 September at around 4am we received a report regarding the concern for the welfare of a man on Lance Corporal Andrew Breeze Way, Denton.
"Despite the best efforts of emergency services, sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene. There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances around this as enquiries continue."
