Man dies in horror crash in Stockport

A man has died after a horror crash in Stockport, it has been confirmed.

The smash happened on Bramhall Lane South in Bramhall at around 9.30am on Thursday.

The exact circumstances of the collision are not yet known.

A badly-damaged black Zenos E10 convertible and a grey Volkswagen 4x4 were seen being towed away in the aftermath of the incident.

The fire service confirmed yesterday crews attended and rescued a man from a vehicle.

The ambulance service also confirmed they were called to assist with a male casualty.

Police have now confirmed that a man sadly died.

No further details - including his age or where he was from - have been released.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman confirmed the man's family has been informed and is being supported by specially-trained officers.
