A man has died after a hit and run in Bury.
The crash happened on Walmersley Road, near the Towler Inn pub in Walmersley, just after 9.30pm last night (Tuesday).
Police said the man, aged 34, was crossing the road when he struck by a car.
The car fled the scene and was found a short distance away.
It is now being examined for forensic evidence, police said.

A 34-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of disqualified driving, and assisting an offender.
She remains in custody for questioning.
A large section of Walmersley Road, between Bass Lane and Burrswood Avenue, was cordoned off after the crash last night.
Police officers were stationed at the scene near the Towler Inn.
The road was reopened at around at around 2.20am, according to TfGM.
Police are now urging anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
