Man arrested for attempted murder after shots fired at house

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after shots were fired at a house in Manchester.

The shooting happened on Winterford Avenue, near the Ardwick area, at around 4.40pm on Wednesday, December 29.

Police said a gun had been fired once at a house.

No-one was injured in the incident.

An investigation was launched and this morning (January 7), a man was arrested during a warrant in Gorton.

The 41-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He remains in custody, a spokesperson for GMP added.

The investigation is ongoing and police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has footage to come forward.
