A man has died after being hit by a tram in Wythenshawe.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving a tram and a pedestrian on Poundswick Lane at around 8.25pm this evening (Friday, January 13). Sadly a man, aged 29, has passed away.
The driver of the tram remained at the scene to assist officers with their enquiries. Members of the public are advised to avoid the area.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: “At around 8:25pm this evening (Friday 13 January 2023), officers were called to reports of a collision involving a tram and a pedestrian.
"Sadly when emergency services attended the scene, the 29-year-old male pedestrian had passed away.
"The driver remained at the scene to assist officers enquiries. A scene will remain in place.”
Pictures from the scene in Wythenshawe show a large police presence, along with a fire crew. The road is cordoned off around Poundswick Lane and Crossacres Lane.
