Lindsay Lohan announces she's pregnant with first child in the most adorable way

Lindsay Lohan has revealed she is expecting her first baby with her husband, after tying the knot with the financial advisor last year.

The Hollywood icon, 36, took to social media this evening to share the happy news with her fans, who quickly flooded the mum-to-be with messages of support and rejoiced in her happy news.

The Parent Trap actress broke the news by posting a snap of a white baby grow on her Instagram account, with the words 'coming soon' written across the item of clothing.

"We are blessed and excited," a delighted Lindsay captioned the sweet shot to her 12.4million followers.

Nancy Myers, who wrote Lindsay's 1998 hit film The Parent Trap, was one of the first celebrities to congratulate Lindsay on Instagram, writing: "Lindsay!!!!!! I’m so excited for you!"

Donetella Versace left a trio of star emojis as a comment, while Paris Hilton's mum Kathy wrote: "I am so happy for you ."

"CONGRATULATIONS QUEENN," one fan gushed underneath the star's online reveal.

"I knew it! I dreamt about you pregnant a few months ago!!!! Congratsss," another added, as a third wrote: "Wow congrats mamaaaaaaaaaaa."

Netflix star Lindsay tied the knot for the first time last year, marrying financial advisor Bader Shammas on 3 April and confirming their nuptials a few months later.

Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in November, the Freaky Friday star gushed how married life was "so special" and opened up about her personal life.

“It’s great. I met my person, and you never know if you’re going to find that in life,” she said on the American TV show.

“He’s [Bader] an amazing man, I love him and we’re a great team.”

Lindsay, who lives in Dubai with her husband, fuelled pregnancy rumours in April last year, thanks to liking some very telling comments from fans.

The Mean Girls actress, who had recently celebrated her November 2021 engagement to beau Bader Shammas with a party - sharing a snap of herself and her now-husband posing alongside a cake on Instagram last week.

As the star - who made a huge movie comeback last year - beamed next to her partner, fans were quick to ask whether the happy couple had more to celebrate than just their engagement.

"Omg a baby bump," one follower commented underneath the snap, with Lindsay 'liking' the comment - sending her fans wild.

"she liked my comment so I guess it’s official," the original poster added to the thread, with another adding: "I think that’s what she us really showing…. She was engaged since november 2021."

Another comment to get a 'like' from Lindsay on Instagram read: "Baby next? [three heart-eyes emojis]".

Lindsay 'liked' a number of comments from fans underneath the post in question, not all related to pregnancy, but many messages from fans were left 'unliked'.

Last year, the Just My Luck actress gave fans an insight into her life as a married woman and her life in Dubai, after moving to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2014.

"I cook a lot of Italian. I do a lot of pastas. I do a lot of an Arabic dish called machboos. It’s chicken with rice and vegetables. I do a really good borscht soup," the Falling For Christmas star explained in an interview with Cosmopolitan.

She continued in the cover feature to reflect on her lengthy career in the spotlight and how social media has allowed stars to take control of their own narrative over recent years.

“When I first started out in the business, none of us had a say in how to control our own narrative,” she said.

“There were paparazzi pictures, and then people ran with it. So I think it’s really good that in this day and age, people can say who they are and who they want to be. And I admire and appreciate that.”
