A number of people have been taken to hospital after a chemical leak at a food manufacturer in Leicester.
The leak broke out shortly before 8:30am this morning and happened at Bradgate Bakery in the Beaumonst Leys area of the city.
Emergency crews from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue, East Midlands Ambulance Service and Leicestershire Police were all dispatched to the scene LeicestershireLive reports.
While the incident was being dealt with, neighbouring residents were ordered to keep their windows and doors shut.
A number of chemical support vehicles were also dispatched to help with the incident as all staff from the bakery were safely evacuated.
The fire service confirmed that 23 people were treated at the scene for gas inhalation and several were taken to hospital.

A fire service spokesperson said: "The small gas cloud caused by the leak has been safely dispersed, and there are no further chemical leaks.
"Crews are staying on the site to continue to monitor the situation.
"There are no hazards to local residents and all relevant partner agencies have been informed."
Exact details of the nature of the incident are as of yet, unknown.

Around 1pm today the fire service tweeted that residents in the area of Madeline road did not need to keep their windows or doors shut any longer.
