Lanarkshire Live understands that parents and carers of pupils at West Coats Primary in Cambuslang were informed this morning and told to collect their children from the school.

The pupils are believed to be in a P4 class at the school.

A South Lanarkshire Council spokesman told Lanarkshire Live : "We can confirm parents of children in West Coats Primary have been asked that their child self-isolates by NHSL Public Health for 10 days.

"This is a precautionary measure as they have been identified as a close contact to an individual who as tested positive for COVID-19.
