Kiefer Sutherland cancels European music tour after seriously injuring ribs

Kiefer Sutherland has cancelled the remainder of his European music tour after suffering serious injuries to his ribs.

The 52-year-old actor and singer slipped on the steps of his tour bus and is finding it "difficult to breathe and impossible to sing."

In a post to his Instagram followers on Friday, Sutherland vowed to return to Scandinavia to fulfill the gigs that have been pulled while he recovers from his injuries.

He wrote on the social media site: "[I] seriously injured a rib, making it difficult to breathe and impossible to sing.

"Regretfully, I will not be able to perform the last 3 shows of our tour, but have every intension [sic] of making up these shows in September / October when we return."

He continued with an apology to those that had snapped up the tickets to see him perform.

Sutherland added: "I am so sorry for any inconvenience that I have caused to the fans who bought tickets.

"I will do everything I can to make it up to you. Thank you for your understanding. Sincerely, Kiefer."
