KFC is to reopen 500 branches across the UK, following in the footsteps of rivals McDonald's, Subway and Burger King.
The fast-food chain said around 50% of restaurants will be back in business by Friday, operating a limited menu for deliveries only.
This will allow restaurants to operate in line with social distancing, allowing just a handful of staff in stores at any one time.
KFC has been slowly reopening restaurants across the UK for either home delivery, drive-thru or click and collect over the past fortnight.
Last week, the fried chicken chain said it was reopening 16 restaurants for takeaway in person.
However, dining areas remain closed, as per Government guidelines on how hospitality businesses can operate during the coronavirus pandemic.
KFC said its home delivery options will be available through Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats.
Bear in mind that you'll need to pay a delivery fee on top of your food order, depending on how far away you are from your nearest restaurant.
Customers are being advised to check the KFC website to find out if their local branch is open - some are offering deliveries, while others are operating a drive-thru and click and collect model only.
The fast food chain announced it was closing all branches on March 23 due to the coronavirus crisis.
Which drive-thru branches are now open?
KFC opened drive-through lanes at 55 of its restaurants last week, allowing customers to come and pick up their food themselves.
The fast food chain had already reopened 100 of its branches, but so far they'd been for delivery only.
"We've been working hard to responsibly reopen our restaurants and now we're spreading our wings a little further," KFC said in a statement.
"In line with Government advice, we've decided to open the drive-thru lanes at 55 of our UK restaurants that are already open for delivery."
KFC emphasised that it was being careful in how it managed reopenings, with strict new rules and hygiene measures in place.
KFC UK managing director Paula MacKenzie said: "This next stage allows us to continue to provide wider access to hot food for those who need it most, whether that’s key workers after a long shift or those working from home who need a quick, affordable dinner for the family.
"I’m hugely appreciative of our team members who have returned to work – it’s a challenging time for everyone, but we’re so glad to play our part in helping to feed the nation.”
The chain added that the newly opened restaurants also mean it can donate more of its food to the NHS and key workers.
"We’ll be able to continue to deliver 10,000 meals a week in partnership with Deliveroo - to add to the 13,000 we’ve already donated," the chain said.
