Katie Price says her mum told her she looks ‘ridiculous’ after latest bout of surgery

Katie Price appeared on Good Morning Britain on Friday following her latest bout of cosmetic surgery in Turkey.

The mum-of-five underwent a Brazilian bum enhancement along with lifts on her lips and eyes, as well as full-body liposuction recently.

She flew to Turkey to have it and it left the star worrying that fiancé Carl Woods, 31, would leave her - and well as fearing for her life.

Katie says the surgery left her looking like a 'monster' and had grave concerns at one point during her hospital stay.

Speaking to Kate Garraway and Alastair Campbell on Good Morning Britain, Katie revealed she decided to get more work done after putting on weight.

Katie also revealed that her own mother told her she looks "ridiculous" after having more surgery.

"My mum told me, 'oh my God, your bum looks like a shelf now. We'll be putting the glasses on it!'" Katie admitted.

“I could go over the top but I don’t want to look like a freak," she added.

As a photo of Katie in hospital flashed up on the screen, Alastair told her: "Cor, you look rough there!"

He then asked Katie if she has an addiction, to which she replied: "This is another thing, I’m not addicted but it's out there and if people want to say I've got body dysmorphia and that, just say it. Even my mum says it, ‘you need to see somebody, you’re not normal in the head are you, Kate?'"

"She sounds like a lovely mum," Alastair replied sarcastically, as the conversation turned to Katie travelling to a red list country for her surgery.

Katie argued her point and said she was "double jabbed" and underwent the relevant tests before travelling.

She also said that it was necessary for her to have the work done because she's booked up for work this summer, including filming another documentary.

“I’m working, I’m doing my YouTube, I’ve had two Covid jabs, done all my PCR tests. You have to follow the protocol, you can’t be silly," she said.

“So I knew by going to a red country, I’d literally be in a hospital, I wasn’t mixing with anyone else, it was literally hospital, then we flew to an amber country and stayed in a villa in the middle of the hill away from everyone and then came home, we didn’t muck about at all, it’s serious."

Dr Khan replied: “I think it’s important that you’re open about it, I think it’s great that you’ve shown people what the reality of cosmetic surgery is.

"There’s lots of different reasons people will have cosmetic surgery and it has to be done safely, but travelling to a red country Katie? I’m not sure I would say that’s a good idea for plastic surgery," he added.

"For me, it’s my work and I want to feel good on camera. I did it safely and I’ve had two jabs," she argued.

“People think I’m obsessed with surgery because I’m so open about it. And I’m telling you now, there’s so many people you out there you see on the TV who have had so much work done but they’re like, ‘I’m natural’," Katie continued.

"I love showing people what I’ve had done because I like them to know the ins and outs, the pain, the recovery.

"If you look at the pictures, they look horrific but here I am now, time is a healer, I’m happy, I’m going to enjoy this summer."

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
