Kate Middleton's younger brother James has married the "love of my life" while surrounded by family during a ceremony in France.
In a post on Instagram, James Middleton said "no words can describe how happy I am" after he and Alizee Thevenet tied the knot.
The couple had a "beautiful" ceremony on Saturday surrounded by friends and relatives in Bormes-les-Mimosas, a village in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, southeast France.
It is believed that Kate, Prince William and their children Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six and three-year-old Prince Louis were at the wedding.
James and Alizee had tried to get married twice over the past two years but were forced to cancel because of the coronavirus lockdown.
James, 34, and Alizee, a French financial analyst, were originally set to get married in 2020 after getting engaged the year before, but like thousands of couples up and down the country they had to put their plans on hold.
Announcing their big day, James told his 211,000 Instagram followers: "Mr & Mrs Middleton.
"Yesterday I married the love of my life surrounded by family, friends and of course a few dogs in the beautiful village or Bormes-les-Mimosas. Words cannot describe how happy I am."
Just a month ago, the newly-weds posted a picture of themselves beaming as they announced they'd bought a house together.
Posting on August 6, James said: "It’s been a hectic few months moving in to our new home & we couldn’t be happier.
"We are settling into our life in the country & the dogs their new home."
While cancelling the wedding twice must have come as a huge blow to the couple and their families, it never got James down.
This time last year he posted a lovely Instagram message gushing about his bride-to-be during a getaway in Italy and said: "It’s a year since I asked Alizee to marry me… what a year it’s been!
"Two homes, lockdown, two attempts at a wedding, a litter of [puppy emoji], launching of new company, a beard shave and much more but the best part is that I get to share it with you @alizeethevenet and I can’t wait to take on whatever the future holds for us.
"We managed to escape to Italy for a quick dip in the the sea, lots of [pasta and wine emojis] and now ready to face the world again."
