Joey Barton has left Fleetwood Town after three years managing the club.
The former Manchester City, Newcastle and Queens Park Rangers star took charge of the League One outfit in 2018.
He stands down with the Cod Army in tenth in the table after 20 matches played this season.
In a short statement on Fleetwood Town's official website, the club confirmed: "Fleetwood Town can confirm manager Joey Barton has left the club with immediate effect.
"We would like to thank Joey for his work during his time at Highbury Stadium and wish him success in the future."
Barton joined Fleetwood a day after his ban for betting on matches ended in June 2018.
It was the Englishman's first managerial role, and his inaugural season ended in controversy following an alleged clash with former Barnsley boss Daniel Stendel at Oakwell.
Barton recently fell out with Welshman Ched Evans at Fleetwood. The striker has since been in contact with Preston over a move.
