Ilford stabbing: Man knifed outside train station in broad daylight

A man believed to be in his 20s has been stabbed outside a train station in east London during broad daylight.

Police were called at about 3.30pm today to reports of a stabbing in Ilford.

Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and found a man suffering stab wounds.

The man has been taken to a major trauma centre, the London Ambulance Service said.

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: "We await an update on his condition."

Police officers have closed off an area outside the busy train station following the incident.

No arrests have been made.

At least two ambulances and one police car have been spotted at the scene, with several police officers standing by the cordon.
