A British Airways flight aborted a landing at Heathrow airport after what is believed to be a mechanical issue with the plane.
The disruption reportedly involved other planes, however Heathrow airport confirmed the BA flight was the only one delayed.
Emergency services were seen escorting a British Airways Airbus A350-1041. Reg - G-XWBC from Dubai after it landed.
Early reports speculated the incident could have been caused by a birdstrike or even a fox which was seen dashing across the runway.
However, Heathrow airport told The Mirror that no birdstrikes took place today - and although there was a fox it did not affect operations.
An airport spokesman said a BA aircraft was forced abort a landing on the runway and take off again due to an 'issue'.
It is believed the issue related to the plane's tail.
The aircraft safely landed at the airport shortly after the incident and was met by the emergency services as a precaution.
A BA spokesman said: "The aircraft landed safely and customers and crew have all disembarked."
Earlier today, Heathrow Noise tweeted: "Good afternoon, due to circumstances beyond our control we will switch our runways at 15:30, landing on the northern runway 27R and taking off from the southern runway 27L."
An image on social media showed a fox on the runway.
