France set to make Brits quarantine on arrival in new blow for holidaymakers

France is set to make Brits quarantine on arrival in a double blow for holidaymakers, according to a minister.

The UK government announced last last night that all travellers returning from France must now self isolate for 14 days due to the country's rising coronavirus rates.

Brits in France have until 4am tomorrow to return home and beat the quarantine rule before it begins.

It sparked holiday chaos for thousands of Brits abroad.

But now French junior minister for European affairs Clément Beaune has given holidaymakers even more bad news.

Tweeting after the UK announcement he said: “A British decision that we regret and which will lead to a measure of reciprocity, hoping that things will return to normal as soon as possible."
