England quick Tymal Mills has been ruled out of the remainder of the T20 World Cup after suffering a thigh strain in the win over Sri Lanka.
Mills pulled up with the injury midway through his second over and was forced off the field, with Chris Woakes completing the over.
Reece Topley has been added to the squad as his replacement, following his role as one of England's travelling reserves.
The injury is a cruel blow to Mills, who has struggled with a variety of injuries throughout his career.
The left-arm quick has a congenital back condition and spent last winter in a back brace after suffering another stress fracture.
He only returned to bowling in May and was able to stay fit throughout the summer, starring for Sussex in the T20 Blast and Southern Brave in the inaugural edition of The Hundred.
Those performances earned him a spot in England's T20 World Cup squad, with Mills viewed as a replacement for the injured Jofra Archer.
In four appearances at the tournament, Mills picked up seven wickets at an average of 15.42, making him England's joint-highest wicket-taker alongside Adil Rashid.
However, he will play no further part in the tournament and England will need to find a replacement.
Mark Wood and David Willey are the frontrunners to replace him when England take on South Africa in their final Super 12 game on Saturday.
Wood offers the same ability to bowl at over 90mph, while Willey could provide the same left-arm angle.
However, neither bowler is a death overs specialist like Mills.
The other seam options in the squad are Tom Curran and Topley.
Curran is a specialist at the death but he has been expensive in recent years, going at 10.6 an over in the last five since 2019.
Topley, meanwhile, has not played a T20 game for England since the previous T20 World Cup back in 2016 and is likely to be far down the pecking order.
