BREAKING: Dumfries and Galloway confirmed coronavirus case numbers for April 7

There are now 152 of confirmed coronavirus cases in Dumfries and Galloway.

Tuesday's figures show an additional eight of cases, increasing the total from Monday's tally of 144.

An additional Scottish 74 deaths have been reported since yesterday, with National Records for Scotland not currently operating a seven-day service. It means nearly 300 people who tested positive for coronavirus in Scotland have died.

So far, 25,022 people in Scotland have been tested for Covid-19 and 20,793 tests were negative.

As it stands, 4,229 people in the country have tested positive - an increase of 268 from Monday. 1,751 patients are in hospital, with 199 in intensive care.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson was taken into intensive care last night as his condition worsened.
