BREAKING: Dumfries and Galloway confirmed coronavirus case numbers for April 6

Three more people have tested positive for coronavirus.

The latest figures show there are now 144 confirmed cases in Dumfries and Galloway, up from Sunday's figure of 141.

Across Scotland, 3,961 people have now tested positive for Covid-19, a further 255 from yesterday. 1,599 people are in hospital, with nearly 200 in intensive care with suspected or confirmed cases of coronavirus.

Two more people who tested positive have died, with the national figure now at 222.

The figures are believed to be an under-estimate of the present situation due to the weekend.
