BREAKING: Dumfries and Galloway confirmed coronavirus case numbers for April 20

Two further cases of coronavirus in Dumfries and Galloway have been confirmed.

The latest figures reveal there are now 231 of confirmed cases in the region, up slightly from Sunday's figure of 229.

As of midnight, 37 were in the region's hospitals with confirmed or suspected Covid-19 with five in intensive care. The situation on Sunday saw 35 people in hospital and five in intensive care.



Across Scotland, 40,700 tests have been carried out. 8,450 people tested positive with 32,250 testing negative.

There are currently 1,809 people in hospital and 169 people in intensive care. On Sunday, 1,797 were in hospital with 174 in ICU.

The death toll has risen by a further 12 and now stands at 915.
