BREAKING: Dumfries and Galloway confirmed coronavirus case numbers for April 14

A further seven have tested positive for coronavirus in Dumfries and Galloway.

The latest figures mean the number of confirmed cases in the region stands at 199.

As of midnight, there were 40 people in the region's hospital with confirmed or suspected, six of whom were in intensive care. On Monday, 51 people were in hospital with eight in intensive care.

The latest Scottish figures show 32,855 of people have undergone coronavirus tests. Of them, 6,358 have tested positive and 26,497 have tested negative.

There are currently 1,798 people in hospital - one more than yesterday - and 196 in intensive care, a drop of 15.

In the past 24 hours, a further 40 have been confirmed as dying where coronavirus was believed to be one of the main factors, taking the Scottish figure to 615.
