BREAKING: Drive-in movies set to return to Loch Lomond this summer

Drive-in movies are returning to the Bonnie Banks this summer.

A lineup of end of the world blockbusters and feelgood classics are on the agenda for Scotland’s first socially distanced drive-in movies - organised by Itison and held at Loch Lomond Shores in Balloch.

For seven years Itison has hosted drive-in cinemas, attracting more than 200,000 movie fans - and now they hope to bring some cheer to families, couples and film fanatics during lockdown.

Following the examples set out by South Korea and Germany, Itison will ensure the events are as safe and fun as possible - with tickets being scanned through car windows, and takeaway street food available on sight.

And with blockbusters including 28 Days Later, Joker and The Matrix on the agenda, along with Mama Mia, Dirty Dancing, The Goonies and Jurassic Park, there is sure to be something for everyone.

Oli Norman, CEO of itison said: “We’ve been running drive-in movies since 2013 giving thousands of families magical memories, that’s needed now more than ever. We want to give people something fun to look forward to this summer!

“Our world-class events team are working behind the scenes on our first ever socially distanced drive-in and one that is fun and feel good, because everyone needs a smile on their face right now.”

Tickets are priced at £32 per car and go on sale at 10am next Tuesday (June 30) exclusively at www.itison.com/drivein.
