Breaking down the Steelers picks in the new Draft Wire mock draft

Our friends over at Draft Wire gave us a new four-round mock draft just days before the real thing. You can read the whole thing right here, but I know you are here for the Pittsburgh Steelers picks.

Here’s how the picks for Pittsburgh broke down.

Second round-RB J.K. Dobbins, Ohio State

Third round-IOL Jonah Jackson, Ohio State

Fourth round-DT Leki Fotu, Utah

Fourth round-WR K.J. Hill, Ohio state

A near clean sweep for Buckeyes in this mock draft. While it is highly unlikely a team would pick three players from the same school, the Steelers love Ohio State prospects and all the picks make perfect sense.

This sort of mock draft represents crazy value for the Steelers. Dobbins and Jackson could start from day one and Fotu’s impact (literally) as a situational defensive lineman would be evident. The addition of Hill in the fourth round would simply be par for course for a franchise that consistently finds star receivers in the middle rounds.
