Breaking down Packers’ first injury report of Week 12

The Green Bay Packers released the team’s first injury report of Week 12 on Wednesday. The team held a walkthrough practice on Wednesday, so all participation reports are an estimate.

Nine players landed on the opening report, including four non-participants.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the Packers’ injury report to start the week:

Full: DL Tyler Lancaster (thumb)

This is a new injury for Lancaster, who played well during Sunday’s loss in Minnesota. Full participation status on a Wednesday is a good sign for his playing availability on Sunday.

Limited: WR Davante Adams (ankle), LB Rashan Gary (elbow), RB Aaron Jones (knee), WR Allen Lazard (shoulder)

Plenty of good news here. Adams has a new ankle injury but it doesn’t appear serious in any way, and he’s no longer dealing with the shoulder injury that had him on the report last week. Gary practiced again, and both Jones and Lazard returned after missing all of last week. All four players should have a realistic chance at playing Sunday. Getting back Gary, Jones and Lazard would be a huge boost.

Did not participate: QB Aaron Rodgers (toe), OT David Bakhtiari (knee), WR Malik Taylor (abdomen), CB Kevin King (hip, knee)

The only addition here is King, who is now dealing with two new injuries to his lower half. He could be in danger of not playing on Sunday. Rodgers is dealing with a fractured toe but is expecting to play again Sunday, but Bakhtiari won’t play while he recovers from a knee scope. Taylor’s injury kept him out again on Monday, meaning he could miss a second straight game.

Removed: CB Eric Stokes, TE Dominique Dafney, WR Equanimeous St. Brown

All three players practiced fully last week and played in Sunday’s game in Minnesota.
