Breaking Down BYU Basketball’s New 2019 Signing Class

Early signing day has come and gone, and BYU has added three more recruits.

BYU checked off some international players on their roster with this move, here’s what happened:

Nate Hansen

This 6’3″ Guards from Timpview High School also had scholarship offers from Portland, UC Davis and UC Irvine. This 165lbs athlete has average 15 points per game in his junior year of high school, and has made 53 3-pointers.

Hansen plans to go on a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint Mission.

“Nate is a tenacious competitor with an ability to really score the ball. We love Nate’s feel for the game and believe he will be a great player here.”

Shengzhe Li

This 6’11” Center is from Santa Margarita High School, but he is originally from Shanghai, China. He moved to California as an exchange student last year. He average 6.8 points last year along with 5.6 rebounds.

Li also had offers from San Francisco, Cal State Fullerton, Denver and Cal State Northridge.

Bernardo Da Silva

Silva is a 6’9′ Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Native who currently plays at Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant.

He also had offers from Utah State, Grand Canyon, Southern Utah, Florida International and Cal State Fullerton
