David Moyes delivers early team news ahead of West Ham's Europa League clash with Genk

West Ham United manager David Moyes has confirmed that he is facing a number of fitness issues ahead of their Europa League clash with Genk.

However, he was quick to reassure supporters that none of the issues were serious concerns following the Hammers excellent 4-1 win away to Aston Villa on Sunday.

"A couple of knocks and niggles which we have to manage," Moyes told his pre-match press conference on Wednesday night, as he prepares for his 1000th match as a manager.

"Not serious but we might miss the odd one tomorrow. We hope we are okay but we have picked up some slight knocks."

The reverse fixture saw West Ham run out 3-0 winners at the London Stadium two weeks ago, Craig Dawson, Issa Diop and Jarrod Bowen all finding the net against the Belgians.

The east Londoners are very well placed to qualify for the round of 16 as winners in Group H, as they currently sit six points clear of second-placed Dinamo Zagreb.

However, Moyes is taking nothing for granted against a side with plenty still to play for.

"It is very difficult to be too different in two weeks but I know we will have a good game," the Scot said.

"It is a tough game as are all of them in this competition. We talk about the top teams all the time but the level of football below that, the teams in the Europa League, there are an awful lot of good teams and I put Genk in that as well."

Moyes was joined at the press conference by the returning Vladimir Coufal for declared himself fit to play if selected.

The right-back made his second appearance since returning from injury in the dying moments against Villa on Sunday. But thanks to the form of Ben Johnson, the Czech Republic international has not been missed as much as first feared.

Coufal heaped praise on the youngster too, telling a pre-match press conference: "He has learned a lot and done well since I was injured and I need to praise him because he scored a goal and did well in defence.

"He is pushing me and I am going to do everything for my performance."
