Dancing On Ice's Lisa George misses out on semi-final - and fans are furious

Lisa George narrowly missed out on the Dancing On Ice semi-final tonight after landing in the bottom two with Libby and Mark.

Coronation Street star Lisa, who plays Beth in the ITV soap, was asked by presenter Holly Willoughby whether she was surprised she had landed in the bottom two.

The 47-year-old insisted that she wasn't after receiving the lowest score of the night, quipping: "I'm the granny of the group!"

She and partner Tom performed to Paloma Faith's rendition of INXS' Never Tear Us Apart for the skate-off and impressed the judges.

Sadly, however, all four judges chose to save Libby and Mark after suggesting their skate was smoother.

Afterwards, Lisa said: "I'm made up I got this far. I've had so much fun. Thank you Tom!"

However fans were not happy that the soap star had booted out and flocked to Twitter to comment.

One tweeted: "@dancingonice my corrie Star ⭐️ gutted now Lisa but You have been incredible since first week. Loved seeing you each Sunday. Be proud and Carry on skating please. ❤️x @LisaGeorgeActor #DancingOnIce."

While another commented: "Oh ffs not again, lisa deserved better #dancingonice."

A third remarked: "Wrong person gone home, that was Lisa’s strongest skate in my opinion, @LisaGeorgeActor should have got saved. @dancingonice #DOI #dancingonice."

Another wrote: "Wow, as much as Libby is impressive I think she should have gone this week, 2 skate offs and still here WOW, should have save Lisa tonight #DancingOnIce."

Yet other fans hit back and insisted that the judges had made the right decision.

One commented: "For those saying it was a sympathy vote... Libby was far better than Lisa in both dances tonight, come on! #DancingOnIce."
