Coronation Street actress Kate Spencer has shared the happy news that her boyfriend Paul Walker has popped the question.
The star - famed for playing Grace Vickers on the cobbles - made the announcement on her Instagram page on Sunday evening.
She told fans: "After the Tomahawk steak, before the Tiramisu, and with a coffee in hand, he turned me into an absolute blubbering mess. A million times over, completely and utterly yes."
The 29-year-old illustrated the post with several snaps of her and Paul - with one smitten photo showcasing her dazzling engagement ring.
Below the Instagram offering, fans of the soap sensation rushed to the comments to send well wishes to the loved-up pair.
One gushed: "Ahhh congratulations !!!!!"
A second fan added: "so happy for you both. Congratulations."
Others joined in: "Soooooooo happy for you and Paul congratulations sweet gal xxxxxx" and "Finally congratulations so happy for you guys."
Kate's husband-to-be Paul is a professional boxer and the pair recently celebrated shacking up together in Nottingham last year.
Before making her debut on Corrie the actress shed four stone in a major fitness kick to overhaul her image.
She honed her figure by taking up a combination of running, boxing and yoga.
As well as exercise, Kate also worked on her diet to eat "better" in a bid to lose weight.
"I actually lost four stone about five years ago, partly through training and also eating better," she told Inside Soap Magazine.
Revealing how she and Paul like to take part in sweat sessions together, she added: "I love running, and I did five half-marathons in 2020 – I ran one this morning too! I have the Hamilton soundtrack and Jason Derulo on my running playlist.
"I've been doing some boxing with my boyfriend during lockdown as well, but I'm not a good student, and he's a pro. I always think I know better!"
