Corhampton crash: Two dead after car and motorbike smash into each other

Two men have died after a crash between a car and a motorbike on Sunday afternoon.

The accident involving a Ford Fiesta Zetec and an Indian FTR motorcycle which collided on the B3035 near Corhampton in Hampshire.

The motorcyclist in his 50s, and his pillion rider in his 60s, died at the scene.

The road was closed for more than 12 hours as fire crews and paramedics attended.

The men's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Police revealed the Fiesta driver was arrested and officers are asking anyone with information to call them on 101.

The driver of the Ford Fiesta, a 17-year-old man from West Meon, has been arrested on suspicion of: causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by driving without due care and consideration while over the specified drug limit.

He remains in custody.

Inspector Andy Tester, from the Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing for witnesses to this collision, which has resulted in the death of two men.

“If you were in the area yesterday evening and saw anything during or before this collision, please call us on 101 quoting 44200041761.

“You might have dashcam footage that would help our investigation.”
