Conor McGregor has charges dropped over fan phone-snatching case

Conor McGregor has had his charges dropped relating to the snatching of a fan's mobile phone.

The UFC superstar was accused of smashing and stealing Ahmed Abdirzak's phone outside a Miami Beach hotel.

He was arrested on March 11 with police stating alleged victim Abdirzak was taking a picture of McGregor outside a hotel when he slapped the man's phone out of his hand.

McGregor, who was not required to appear in court, is alleged to have stamped on the phone several times before walking away with it.

Irishman McGregor was charged with two counts of robbery by sudden snatching and criminal mischief. He pleased not-guilty to both counts last month.
