BREAKING: Confirmed Dumfries and Galloway coronavirus cases rises to 18

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Dumfries and Galloway now stands at 18.

That's a rise of two on Sunday's tally of 16.

Across Scotland, there are 499 known cases and 14 people have now died from the disease.

Today is the first day that schools across the country have been shut and First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has now called for all non-essential shops to close.

The move comes after Friday's plea for pubs, clubs and restaurants to shut their doors.
