A children's play park has been put on lockdown after a man's body was discovered.
Emergency services were called to Queens Park Recreation Centre in St Helens, Merseyside, just before 8am this morning to reports of concern for the safety of a man.
Police and paramedics attended the scene, but the man was tragically pronounced dead, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Merseyside Police confirmed enquiries are underway following the incident.
A spokeswoman for the force said: "Although the death is not thought to be suspicious at this time it is being treated as unexplained."

Enquiries are ongoing to formally identify the man and inform his next of kin.
A post-mortem will be conducted to establish the cause of death.
Forensic officers from Merseyside Police are at the scene.
A number of people reported seeing a forensic tent inside the park, with one woman saying police had begun making door to door enquiries at properties neighbouring the park.
Queens Park borders a number of streets in St Helens, but police activity appears to be clustered around Dilloway Street, which is closest to the play area.
One resident reported seeing a police van and two cars in the area, with another woman claiming police told her they were called to the incident in the early hours of Sunday.
