Chelsea have qualified for the 2020/21 Champions League.
The Blues left it until the final day of the 2019/20 Premier League season to seal a place in next term's competition, but they will be amongst the elite clubs in Europe once again.
Heading into the game with Wolves knowing a draw would have been enough to seal another top-four finish, Mason Mount settled the nerves shortly before half-time with a brilliant free-kick.
Moments later it was 2-0 thanks to Olivier Giroud's sheer persistence.
And that's how the game ended as the Blues - with Willy Caballero in goal instead of Kepa Arrizabalaga - managed to keep a clean sheet in their final home game of the campaign.
Although, the win was not enough for a top-three finish.
That is because Manchester United were 2-0 winners over Leicester City - who ultimately finished fifth - thanks to second-half goals from Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard.
As a result, the Red Devils take third thanks to having a superior goal difference.
But that won't matter too much to Blues head coach Frank Lampard as his side have achieved the target he set out following his appointment 12 months ago.
In addition, if reports are to be believed, Champions League qualification is also key to sealing a deal for Bayer Leverkusen wonderkid Kai Havertz in the summer transfer window.
German publication Bild, via the Metro, claimed last month that Havertz is open to the idea of sealing a move to Stamford Bridge, but only as long as they have secured Champions League football for next season.
And according to the Athletic, Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is close to working her transfer magic once again by securing a deal for Havertz at a lower price than many would have expected.
