Celine Dion's TV star mum 'Maman Dion' dies surrounded by her family

Celine Dion's TV star mum Therese Dion has died.

The Canadian television personality died aged 92 at her home while she was in the company of her close family late on Thursday, according to reports.

It's said she had been struggling with illness in recent months including memory loss, loss of vision and hearing impairment, according to TMZ.

Therese was a star in her own right as she was the host of a cooking show for Canadian-French language channel TVA.

Also she was fondly nicknamed and known as Maman Dion.

Maman Dion was the mother of 14 children including singer Celine.

In loving tribute, Celine expressed she and her 13 siblings loved her mum so much and accompanied it with a family portrait.

She wrote: "Maman, we love you so much…

"We dedicate tonight’s show to you and I’ll sing to you with all my heart. Love, Céline xx… ."

Always a supporter of her daughter's singing career, she penned her youngest child's first ever song It Was Only A Dream which launched her into the limelight.

Therese's death comes two days after the fourth anniversary of the death of Celine's husband Rene Angelil.
